My arbor and gate to Nowhere land....

Since we'd had nothing else going on (hahaha!), DH and I decided to build this arbor out of some old porch posts and use a gate that was given to us. We junked it up with one of my swirlies that we rescued from the dump and put wrought iron piece from a GJ friend on it to finish dressing it up. The gazing ball beside it is made from an old floor lamp...I'll put another post with a close up of that on the feed too.

Good to use your imagination & dream of what is beyond! Looks like a road & they can take you a lot of places. It really came out nice, did you cement it in? Jan

The arbor is lovely, and I also really like the reuse of the old lamp as a gazing ball holder.

Love it!
Makes you wonder what was there before, after all a entrance gate leads somewhere. Maybe the shrubs are hiding a magic portal....
Now I have to open the gate and go through just to see if anything happens!

Look for the light...

There's even a magic lamp beside it so you can find the right gate when you want to come back.

How on earth did I miss this beautiful creation!! I love, love, love it. What a gorgeous vignette you've created.
You and DH are the 'bestest' team at creating garden art.
WOW.
