This garden spider was an attempt at "minimalism". It was constructed on a piece of scrap plywood. Only a few parts: two thicknesses of metal rod, one old wood draw-pull, a few fiber-optic strands, and some black paint. This piece is high-gloss black which my camera refuses to reproduce. It is a smallish sculpture measuring only 16" X 3" and hangs along the storage shed door.

| I think you have captured the essense of black widow with that shiny black knob. I like things in different than normal sizes for display. Fun to find just the right spot for them. |
