| Finished up this "heavy duty" barnwood birdhouse yesterday...DH put 3 nesting compartments in it. I got the pillar at a GS for $5 & painted it white...the roof is made from barnwood doors trim which I decided to paint gray. Needs a vine growin' up it or some grapevine. If you can get your hands on any old barnwood, it certainly lasts out in the weather for a long time! Thanks for looking. Jeanne s.
The decor is an old pc recycled spindle which DH sawed down the middle:
And added the other half to the backside:

That is one BEAUTIFUL birdhouse! It would be "decor item" if I had it, LOL. Actually, the birds here don't use houses and I don't know why. Guess our nice weather during Fall thru Winter makes them unnecessary, and Spring-Summer too hot. I've always put out a few birdhouses whereever we lived around Phoenix. In town and in the country, and no bird ever wanted a home. :o( But I like to use birdhouses for decor so that's ok. hugs, Karen |

| I wish my DH would be into making the birdhouses like I want to have. They'd definitely look something like this!!! I love ornate (& with rust). Love that pillar you found & I would have snatched that right up too! |

| That sure is a dandy! Beautiful condo for some lucky birds. I'm hoping to make some birdhouses soon but they won't hold a candle to this one. Thank you for the inspiration. |
