Tutorial: aluminum flowers, heart-shaped petals

You're going to have to use your imagination on this one, because it looks like we didn't take a picture. Take a heart-shaped cookie cutter. Cut 8 hearts, all the same size. Carefully punch a tiny hole near the bottom of each heart. Stack the hearts up & sew them together with fishing line, running the line through each of the holes a couple of times & then knotting it off. Make the flower by laying the right half of the heart under the left half of the next. Use a spring-type clothes pin to the pieces in place as you go. This creates a cone-shaped flower. Once you are sure you have the pieces in their proper place: one at a time, remove a clothes pin, place a drop of super glue on the heart, put the other heart back on top & put the clothes pin back on. Work your way around the flower carefully. Tight the fishing line at the bottom if necessary, but if you pull it too tight, you tear the aluminum.Later, when the glue is set & you are satisfied with the results, you may want to glue a half marble down inside the flower.
