I made these "flowers" from stuff around the garage! The sunflower is made from spoons, hinges, conduit and 2 stove dampers. The other set is made from my old garage door hinges.

I love the hinge flowers - but I'm thinking the spoon sunflower will be a great project for my 6 year old. I know I have a couple black plastic plates I've been wondering what to do with. So if I just hand her some spoons and some paint. . .

Great ideas! I never would have thought of using hinges. Kathy |

I never would have thought of using those things like that. Way to go! I think we all have stuff like that in our garages. And I'll never look at hinges the same way again. And I love that spoon flower. I have souvenir spoons that I didn't know what to do with. Maybe I'll use a few to make myself a pretty flower that will never die. :) Thanks for sharing..... Alicia

How do you stick the hinges to the center? I looked at your album; I like animals too. The dogs are spoiled I can tell.

Yes, they are VERY spoiled!! I attached the hinges with a bolt and nut. I also JB welded each hinge for extra strength! They were out all summer and still are tight!
