Secret Santa Guidelines

Good morning junkers!

I thought it would be a good idea to give you some guidelines with regard to our Secret Santa exchange. First of all, remember to send me an email with your full name, address and GJ name in it letting me know that you want to participate by November 5th! You must have posted on the Garden junk site order to participate in the Christmas exchange. The spending limit for this year is $15. Please try not go exceed that items are find, homemade items are fine too. Remember that it will most likely cost more to mail your package than it cost for the contents (I was amazed at that my first year!). After I send you your SS recipient, please have your package in the mail no later than December 10th as that should insure Christmas delivery. I will start a post closer to Christmas so you can post your gifts there. And, remember to acknowledge to your sender that you received your gift....we junkers worry whether our packages arrived safely. As I think of other things, I will add to this post!

Happy Shopping! Our list of participants is growing slowly, so remind your GJ friends to sign up....this is always a lot of FUN!

RE: Secret Santa Guidelines

Marlene, will you be posting a list of the participants, so that we know you got our info?

RE: Secret Santa Guidelines

No, I won't post a list of participants because not everyone wants to participate and posting a list may embarrass someone.

RE: Secret Santa Guidelines-boxes

Hey Gang!
Don't forget you can get FREE flat rate boxes from the Post Office! They come in several sizes and are quite sturdy. Those of you who did Junk Train know all about them.

RE: Secret Santa Guidelines

Marlene, you said, " I will start a post closer to Christmas so you can post your gifts there." Are we posting what we are sending or what we receive? Or are we posting that we have sent a gift or that we have received a gift? It's my first SS, sorry. Cheryl

RE: Secret Santa Guidelines

Hi Cheryl~

I'll start a post where SS recipients can post the gift they received! It's always fun to see what everyone gets! Sorry that I wasn't clear. Some people wait until Christmas to open their gifts while others can't stand to wait, so I'll start the new post around the 10th of December so those who just can't wait can post early if they wish. Hope that makes more sense.

Let me know if you have any other questions....this is my first time as coordinator of this project, so I may not be making myself clear on the entire process. ;-)

RE: Secret Santa Guidelines
