autumn chores

Starting to put away my garden totems for the winter; makes me a little sad. Fortunately most of the garden junk is winter-proof and looks really nice in the snow. My bottle tree looks super with a coating of the white stuff! Time to think of next years projects to do this winter. Gonna try my hand at cutting wine bottles....have lots of them so there is room for screw-ups!

RE: autumn chores

I know what you mean....my DH and I spent a couple of days cutting plants back and I too started to put my totems away for the winter. But, I've already started thinking about projects for the spring and I still have some that should be done before cold weather arrives to stay.

Good luck with learning the trade of cutting bottles....don't get too many cuts! ;-)

Bottle cutting is easy. I've cut hundreds with my tile wet saw.

RE: autumn chores

I do as Amigirl does, whip it thru my tile saw...easypeasy. I am always too lazy to move my garden junk so it slowly gets more and more decrepid. I guess I like to be mad at myself!lol!

I LOVE to cut bottles!!! Drilling is fun also. right now, we are getting stuff together to complete a fountain out of old lamps, and some of the "other" pieces had to be drilled, so I am getting to do some pretty thin pieces that I had always been afraid to try. I posted the pic of kinda what we plan to have ours look like. Or rather the first one, cause I want one that is much taller.
