Mosaic ------ well ------- it's partly junk

This is a stretch to be on the garden junk forum .... but ...... I wanted to show you anyway . I found a pattern on the web that I fell in love with . It's of horses .I adore them .... so I tweaked it to my liking -- Used an old glass tabletop ---
( you know - the kind on the 3 - legged tables .Can that qualify as junk ? ) and made a mosaic out of it. I even took progress pics - my pals on another forum wanted to see me making it . Last weekend - DH was hunting & I was home alone. Alone with my stained glass and a Box of wine .....LOL ..... (nothing but class here ~ !)

Here's the pics ---

I cut out the horses and laid them on the glass ....

Photobucket

Added the grass & glued it all down ....

Photobucket

I started the backround ....

Photobucket

It's done except for the grout ......

Photobucket

Here it is in the window - all done.

Photobucket

Bad thing is ...I don't have any windows I can display it in . I just loved it ,so I had to do it .For the time being , it'll be in the attic . *sigh* Oh well ...

Hope you like it !

Wow! I'd find a window to put that in it's a work of art & should not be in an attic. Wish I had that talent & strength in my fingers to cut all those tiny pieces of glass. Really beautiful coloring & always love horses in a piece of art! Jan

I'm with Sunnyca! I'd oust something else and put it in the window! That is amazing!

I think I'd find a way to display that awesome piece of art in the GARDEN, or at least outside, on the deck! Wonderful job, Toomuch!!

WOW!! That turned out beautifully! Love the colors...I would FIND a place to display...it's way too pretty to be in the attic!

OK you can make a wooden stand and place it anywhere. The stand is kind of like a napkin holder or taco.
