Did you mix the mod podge and food coloring before painting it on? It is a great idea and looks great.

Yes. I mix the mod podge and coloring befor painting.
I just use a paper plate and a tooth pick..throw away when done.. easy clean up!!

So is it just temporary? I've never used mod podge. Would be neat if it washed off as you could use different colors on the vases for different occasions. Show us a pic of 1 when it is finished with the ornament! Jan

Who doesn't love red glass? It's so rare and expensive (I guess they use real gold in making it) that this is a wonderful alternative. Never thought to color modge podge. Great idea for those plain clear glass bud vases! I'd love to see your finished centerpieces too.
