A friend of mine made this using an old satellite dish. He took metal posts and attached them around the satellite and then planted grapevines and put his swing under it. I love it ! Sorry the pics are so big !

That's pretty neat. I still want to do something with mine around my wisteria.

I have an old one on the roof of the building that I manage, but its solid. I'd love to do something like that with it.

Wow! They are big!! Don't think I've every seen 1 of those. We have a lot of Dish things about 20 in. wide if that. Looks like that will last many years! Coke swing is cute too. Jan

More great recycling! This looks like it will be a very pretty spot as the vine grows. TFS pics! Jeanne S.

Great job. My father-in-law built a gazebo with one and it was unbelieveable. That trellis will be perfect when covered.

Thanks for all your kind comments. My friend will be tickled silly ! This same friend picked up a nice little wrought iron table and 2 chairs by the side of the road last week and he told me I can have it if I want it.. well duh.. of course I do .. Lol !
Kathyjb .. wisteria will look lovely.. it's such a pretty vine anyway.
Kathy, I saw a pic where someone had used a solid satellite to cover the hay for their horses.
Jan.. lol .. yes, they are a lot bigger than they look ! Pretty much everyone is going to the small ones mounted on their houses, but you can still find the old type lying around.
