Totem Obsession

My friend and I started our totem obsession at the beginning of the summer 2009. Currently, we have hundreds of glass pieces which I keep in my husband's shop (bless him). We have sold quite a few and have given a couple of them away to auction at non-profit events. One brought $186 and another brought $250. We can't believe how popular they are.

We got the idea from this website. Thanks for the inspiration.

WOW! From what I can see, those are beautiful. The pics are a little small, so it's hard to see too much detail.

Good grief! I don't know where you live, but I think I will move there!
Any way you can post larger pics? They look wonderful!

Beautiful pieces. You are lucky that people in your area see the beauty of your totems. Many area some people don't get it. lol You should be thrilled to have your pieces sell for that much. Congrats.

Welcome Sherma! Your totems are beautiful! And the price you got for them is awesome! Some of us are total geeks when it comes to totems...very addicting, aren't they? So many possibilities! Thanks for sharing yours with us....would like to see bigger pix if possible...my 50 something eyes can't make out the details! ;-)

Wow you're lucky to get that price. I've been looking at all the beautiful glass work the people on this site do and have been inspired.I have loads of glass vases that are hand made in Poland that I have tried to sell and it is so frustrating that people in my area would rather spend their money on plastic junk.So I figured why not make totems.Give as presents and I'm thinking craft or art shows also.Your work is fantastic!

Great job on the totems & the price. It warms the heart that some people understand our junking ways.

Your totems are lovely, I'm not surprised that they sell well. That's great that the donation brought so much money for the non profit too! Have you had any problem with the falling apart as people are carrying them away/around? That seems to have been a problem here with some folks who sell them.

I would love to see a larger pic of the milk glass one, seems I have alot of milk glass and need to think of some ideas.
Great idea for fund raising auctions, I may make one for a political event this winter.

All very pretty from what I can see of them (my eyes are a little younger than Marlene's but probably in worse shape - lol). It is great to know there are people out there who get the beauty in recycling and repurposing. Keep the pictures coming and keep up the great work!
