Maybe my first chandelier

While at my favorite junk store on Thursday I tried to stay away from the glass and steer toward something else. I still got a hamper filled with glass, but also spotted this old light at the last minute.($7 total) I had fun pulling out the electric guts and I put the light back together upside down from the way it was. I dont have all matching pieces of glass for it yet, but I dont know if I really need them to all match.Nothing is glued yet, I just wanted all your expert opinions so I hung it quickly outside for a couple photos. Do you guys think I should paint it, froo froo it up or what?

I love this chandy. The different glass pieces I like too. Do you plan on using tea lights? I think it will be pretty lit up.

Great find! I think I would paint it Black so that it would really pop. I love the mismatched globes. They give it character. But I think some frufruing would really make it stand out.

The different glass pieces are not only pretty, but eclectic, and I am all about that.
Frufruing along with the eclectic look would be good, don't ask what, cuz I haven't had enough coffee yet!
Great find.

No don't worry about matching, the different shades are great! It's perfect just the way it is! But if I were to do anything at all to it, it might be to do something with the long silver tube down the middle. Those curvy arms are great for hanging bling off of, like prisms or draping strands of tinsel or garlands of greens or berries in the winter or spring flowers in the spring, to maybe decorate it for the seasons. I really like it!

Too cute! I never thought about using mismatched shades, I'm such a matchy matchy type person, but I like it. And of course I agee to the frou-frouing. Black and bling sound great.

This is wonderful! Love the different globes. Paint it a shocking pink or lime green & hang crystals off the curly cues. It would be really cute hanging over a patio table done in pinks & greens & purples for spring!

I like the different glass shades. Makes it look like a bouquet. I'd paint the chandelier green to make it look like stems. I agree, painting it would really make the shades pop. I bet it would look pretty with those battery operated tealights in it. Keep us updated on what you do with it!
