My Summer Project - Potting Shed Makeover

We had a cute little shed used for storage of our mower, tiller, all the lawn/garden tools, and lots of junk. My dream was a potting shed that I could create my fairy gardens in, since I currently use the garage and I also needed a place to store my collected pans and other fairy garden supplies. We really were thinking of building another shed for that purpose, but decided we didn't want to increase our property taxes, so we decided to enclose an overhang on my husband's shop for the mower, etc. and transform this storage shed into my potting shed. So this has been our summer project, and now I'm anxiously awaiting spring so I can use it! Here's an after shot of the outside, but you must check out the link to see the befores and the inside! (not sure how to post more than one picture at a time) I'm still pinching myself! The pictures all have captions which explain what all we did.

Wow! Lot of work but it came out great! I noticed the "potty" in there! Just in case?? The window will really make it seem like a pleasure to be creating fairy gardens & give you a chance to see what is going on outside!! Great makeover & love the decorated outside too! Jan

Ha - no, the potty is filled with lime for the garden! The shed is very close to the house, so no need for emergency potty! I just love old enamel and like putting it to use! As far as decorating, still want to add things to the end of the shed. I've got my eyes peeled for a rusty top of a small windmill. If I can't find it, I may do a fanned out cluster of old garden tools. Havin' fun!

Your new potting shed looks AWESOME!! You have so much shelf space now. I look forward every year to seeing your fairy garden creations....cause you're the absolute Queen! I also love your sign that says "this is my junk, get your own!"
