garden markers?

Now that it's winter and Christmas is over, it's time to think ahead to spring in the garden.

I'm interested in seeing pics of your decorative garden markers as my re-purposed window blind ones are boring.

I have old silverware like table knives, wire, & beads. I found one shown here. I have table knives, wire hangers, various acrylic paints, and flat glass marbles.

Anyone used wire hangers for bling wrapping? I am thinking wire hangers are too stiff.

How well do the hangers & aluminum can ones hold up over time? I'm a bit nervous about the sharp edges in the garden visited by pets, children, and of course me while snipping herbs and flowers.

Photos, supplies, and descriptions, please. I'd also like to make some for inserting in pots when I give plants.

Here's the link to silverware ones I made last yr...I've done some more since then...alot of fun.

The "deleted pics" will be seen later in the thread if you keep arrowing down...directions, too. I've used them outside for over a yr...they've done terrific!

Thank you, Jeanne! Do you have any more pics? If I can show my family they will be able to help me with the project easier. Both kids do jewelry making & have helped me over the years in the garden. Married daughter is buying a house now to move in January, so will be gardening in ground instead of the herb containers I gave them last summer after their wedding. I'd especially like to make some markers for her new place.

Sorry, corrine...I only have those 3 pics that you can see down at the bottom of the post I sent you. I've made several since then but have given them as gifts.

There's been other really cool garden markers on this site...made with other materials...you might try using the search box here. Have fun! Jeanne S.

Jeanne - I just saw your herb plant markers. They are awesome. They look like they are fun to make.

The ladies on this forum are so talented and the projects and ideas boggle my mind. Thank you all for sharing.

Jeanne, I just saw your plant markers for the first time too. They are gorgeous! I want to make some of those, but I have to find the silverware first. You're very creative!
