Should I call the experts? What do you think?

15 years ago when the home was built, the contractor had sod installed. Now I notice that there are large areas of the lawn that don't match. It drives me crazy because its "patchwork quilt" looking. To make matters worse, some of the patches are clearly cold-season grasses, while the majority of the lawn is warm-season grass. When the heat of summer gets here those patches get barren and ugly, but in spring and fall they grow like a dark green little hay-fields.

Should I just save up my money and have a professional company come in and carve out the patches and re-sod with matching grass? How do these companies charge; by the square foot? Altogether I would probably need about 100 square feet of new patch sod but not in one spot...here and there which makes things more complicated.
