snow plow

The snow plow took up a wide strip of grass on the side of the sidewalk. I had the ground pretty level with the sidewalk so i think it may have frost heaved up a few inches higher than the sidwalk. Have any of you ever had that problem? Also what about the salt on sidewalks, how bad is that for the grass?

Do you know if they used a sodium based salt? There are magnesium based ice salts that can be beneficial. The sodium based salts are rarely beneficial.
