For the most part, the best thing you can do is stay off of it when it has no snow cover but is frozen. The blades actually fracture and then can blacken when thaws occur. WAY more important, though, is not to push the season and start turning soil in early March - even if it gets warm for a bit. The soil needs to naturally become crumbly ("friable") before working it, or it will seem compacted for months.

Overall, good lawns do well in Minnesota and far north NY, where temperatures can go to -30F. It will have no problems at 11F. I'm 50 miles north of you and will see temperatures near zero tonight.
