I'm in Atlanta, GA with berdmua grass lawn and this weed started growing this winter. never saw it in summer. I used Ortho Weed spray but it's not working. What is the name of this weed and what's the best herbicide? Thanks

Ortho makes a lot of weed sprays for different weeds. Which one did you use? You can pluck those out with a Weed Hound tool.

I used Ortho Weed-B-Gon Max Plus Crabgrass Control. After 5 days they look wilted but not dead. Another spray and finally dead. But now there are a lot more smaller weeds. They are easy to pull up so I'll do that instead of waiting.

update. the weed is Canada Thistle. I searched and found Spurge Power and the weeds were yellow and dying after just two days. The areas that have the Canada Thistle now had spotted spurge this past summer/fall. Hopefully this spray will take care of both from now on.
