seeding tall fescue in southern california

Just seeded a 20 x 10 ft section that was destroyed over the winter. Approximately how long will it take for seeds to germinate with average temps, between 60 and 80.
Thanks for the help in advance.

Tall fescue generally takes about a week to 10 days, but I have seen green sprouts in as little as 4-5 days under the temps you mentioned as long as you keep the seeds continually moist. Mow it when it is 3 inches high, which should be in about a month. Mow it to 2 inches using a sharp blade, and be careful when making turns on new grass.
