K31 Fescue Question

I overseed/fertilize my 3-4A Fescue lawn in the fall. This past fall was extremely dry & as a result very little of my seed germinated, in spite of my attempt to irrigate..... Now comes my dilemma. I typically apply a pre emergent (Dimension) to control crabgrass, in the spring, however this spring I have all this Fesue seed that would be killed, so what's a guy to do? If I skip treating with Dimension, I'll be eaten up with crabgrass..........

I would skip the preemergent if you're hoping that a lot of your fescue seed will germinate this spring.

Despite the common perception, crabgrass isn't that hard to control. See my February, 2012 post in this thread, near the end:
