We have already applied our crabgrass pre-emergent. As an afterthought--we decided our lawn could use an overseed this year. Is it too late?

Yes, too late. The pre-emergent will prevent the grass seed from germinating. Best bet is to overseed in the fall.

It might be too late to overseed grass this spring if you already used pre-emergent. You can try of course, but I wouldn't use a lot of seed for fear of wasting it since the pre-emergent is already down. A better time to overseed cool season grasses is in September, anyway, around Labor Day. Best of luck.
