Getting lawn back into shape after rough winter

After a brutal winter here in NY I need to start to get my lawn on track. I plan on putting Scotts Starter Fertilizer plus Crabgrass Preventer as well as seeding my lawn. After I rake it up and scratch the surface. Then Blackstrap molasses when I water it. Ironite, Limestone and then in a few months weed and feed. What does everyone think?

The new grass seed will not work if you put down crabgrass preventer. It prevents the seeds from sprouting.
