Went to Lowe's yesterday with a sample of some kind of weed that has infested my lawn. Unfortunately the home and garden experts were unable to identify it. I am hoping one of the experts here can. It must be a common weed as another customer that saw me talking to the sales associate also has the same weed in his lawn and wanted to know what it was also. Advice given was to use Turf Builder plus Weed Control. I was planning to use Turf Builder plus Halts and Bayer Weed Killer. Open to any suggestions at this point but the problem is severe.

That's chickweed. It is best dealt with by using Weed B Gone Clover, Chickweed and Oxalis killer. A bottle is about ten bucks at Home Depot. If your chickweed problem is widespread then use a hose end sprayer. If it is sparse, then a tank sprayer is a better way to apply it. Read all labels before you use it. Turf builder plus weed control, i.e. weed and feed is a bad idea.

Thanks for the info. I will spray the weed b gone on the lawn and hand pull out of the flower bed. Thanks again for the info.
