| I had used a lawn service (Greenlawn) for 4 years. I stopped 3 years ago and my lawn is now mostly weeds. I want to kill and use a slit seeder. Is it possible to use just a weed killer and slit seed or should I use Roundupo , kill it all and then slit seed? I am doing this in the spring also. It was recommended to me to fight the crtabgrass and weeds thru the summer, leading to many bar patches, then planting in the fall. would rather do it now.
Any remedies would be appreciated |

| Where do you live? What kind of grass do you want? Are you willing to water in the heat of summer? How often are you willing to mow? Are you willing to fertilize 3x per year? |

| outside philly pa green grass. fescue/ bluegrass mix? no problem watering can mow 3 times a week if necessary can fertilize too! maybe i do my pool area now so it is nice for the summer. easier to concentrate watering and fert to a smaller area. and do the front lawn in the fall?? so do i do a Heavy kill on just the weeds in the frontlawn and hope the grass spreads and do a full kill in my pool area and slit seed and fert/water all summer? |
