Is it too early for halts

Since we've had an unusually warm March, should i be putting down halts already. is it ok to wait until mid april or is that too late. The forsynthia's have already bloomed, but it's been cold for the past few days.

Dafodils and forsythia in bloom...it's time. I did mine 3 weeks ago...wish I'd done it earlier.
