Do you know how this combination should be applied? Weekly? Monthly? My research found that March is a critical month for treatment: In March (I suppose it is temperature related) the nimblewill drops seed for the coming growing season. Do you know if these chemicals you mentioned will kill this years seed?

Walt I have no experience with niblewill here in Chicago, and in March, we still have snow on the ground. As with any weed, you want to eradicate it before it seeds because herbicides only affect actively growing leaf tissue, and nothing to seeds.

The fenoxaprop and triclopyr for niblewill results comes from a guy in western MA. and he found the info at N.C. State Unv.

My guess is he applied both products the same day because he witnessed the niblewill being injured the very next day.

Try it. If another shot is needed 2 weeks later, apply again providing you do NOT see any damage to the surround turf.

Are you sure it is niblewill? In zone 7, it is more likely some common bermuda.

I found info initially on VA TECH'S weed index and then had it confirmed at The Turf Store here locally with a sample from my lawn..

The year is 2016 and Tenacity can be bought at Amazon.... 8 ounce, which you use one teaspoon per gallon of water..

But this thread is from 2010...

I know that, that is why I wrote that we are now in 2016 and the product is available for personal use, in case someone reads the 2010 comment above and think you can't get it and they are doomed having Nimblewill taking over their property.
