Killing weed patch before planting grass seed

Quick question. I don't use a lot of chemicals so I want to do this right. I have a 3x25 ft patch of formerly mulched area that's full of weeds. They are greening up now with spring rains. I have a narrow window to change this over to grass. I have some lawn weed & feed with 2,4-D. I think this will kill existing weeds and not prevent the grass seed from sprouting, since it's not a pre-emergent. Correct?

My plan was to rake off the mulch and debris, mow the weeds low, treat with herbicide and plant grass seed asap.

I also have glyphosate and it appears to not affect seeds, I just wasn't sure how long it will persist, so if I plant the grass immediately, the glyphosate may kill it after it sprouts?
