We are preparing our house for sale this spring, so I want my lawn to look good. I overseeded TTTF mix and fertilized last fall and was planning to use preemergent this spring. We typically get a lot of dandelions.

Thing is, my neighbor just cut down a large cedar tree, so the north third of my lawn where grass never grows is now sunny and very obviously bare.

I'm thinking of overseeding the bare spot--maybe with rye--and spread preemergent everywhere else. If I use tupersan along with seeding just on the bare spot, will that prevent dandelions?

FYI, forsythia are blooming now.
