Very Dissappointed in Lesco Metro Seed Mix (pic)

Hi everyone.

I had a tree removed in early spring, ground stump, added 3 yards of topsoil & seeded the area with Lesco's Metro Seed Mix. I am now very dissappointed in the results. Broadleaf seedling are popping up everywhere. Here's a couple pics:

Of course, I can't go in there and pull them yet...and even if I could, there are too many. *Ugh*

Just passing along the warning. Wonder what that stupid weed is, anyway...not that it matters.

How do you know the weed came from the grass seed? Most likely it was already in the soil that you brought in, or churned up from the tree.

Doubt it came in the seed.

Go round up a small section of lawn. DO NOT plant any seed. Rough up the surface, fertilize and water. Bet something comes up and completely covers the rounded up area.
