Re-applying Pre-Emergent

Hey everyone, I'm new here. I'm seeding a new elite KBG lawn this fall after I finish some excavation and build a retaining wall, and install an irrigation system. I've read and learned a TON from this site. I'm planning on going organic and have read mixed reviews about whether CGM is a good pre-emergent, so I may go chemical on the Pre-Em. Anyway, my question is, after my lawn is established, is there any harm in re-applying pre emergents as they become ineffective? Say a pre-em is effective for 90 days, is there anything wrong with applying it every 90 days? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I really don't want to see my hard work overtaken by weeds. Thanks for the help!
