First, love these forums. Been lurking around for weeks and soaking it all in.

Just need some clarification on some specific questions.

My problem is somewhat in the middle of these two --

What I know:

-Bought a new home, Bermuda sod was laid in Nov. 2012
-Low price point house, so yard was over run with weeds and they just threw down dried up sod "chunks" everywhere
-Other than mowing twice I really haven't done anything
-Backyard was overrun with dallisgrass, similar to link #1
-Hand pulled a ton of them (full trashcan worth)
-The lawn is still full of all kinds of weeds -- 60/40 weeds/grass would be my guess (mainly dallisgrass)
-I cut the grass and it looks great -- in a couple days it looks like nothing but weeds again

Plan I'm thinking of using:
-Cut low and hit it with some post-emerg/soap blend
-Wait for weeds to die out (week or 2), "clean" up the stragglers by hand, and water it well
-Get on the Bermuda Bible plan -- fertilize and hit it with a pre-emerg, water and cut per those recommendations

Thoughts? Concerns? Comments?
