No. I'm just a few miles north of you in Orange County. There is NO crabgrass - it's just getting to be time now to add the crabgrass preventer for us.

There are lots of junk grasses that people call crabgrass this time of year, but they're not.

You're probably looking at Orchardgrass.

If you can see a grass, it is too late for a preventer. They work by preventing seeds from germinating. Once it is established, you need a post-emergent herbicide. For grassy weeds, that requires good identification (which is often difficult), and many of the grassy-weed herbicides are expensive. For small amounts, manually removing them is often the most effective treatment.
