| I live in southwest Florida and I'm thinking of redoing my lawn with blue eyed grass. Is there any draw backs to this plan? Yards in this area quickly get filled with weeds after sodding or seeding with grass. I'm looking for something grass like that is drought tolerant. Has anyone tried blue eyed grass before as their lawn. |

| Have not heard of it but here is a link to some pictures of it. Apparently it is the national flower of Bermuda. By 'drought tolerant,' do you mean that you are not willing to water the lawn on a weekly basis? If so, then you are looking for a non traditional (pasture type) grass or a variety of the buffalo hybrids. It could be that blue eyed grass is just what you are looking for. If they like it in Bermuda then it must not need ANY water. |
