Crabgrass/ weed identification

Is this crabgrass? I had st Augustine sod put down 7-8 months ago and it's not doing too good. Thus long stringy grass has taken over much of the yard and the st Augustine is dyeing in lots of areas. I used Image pre emergent and fertilized with Scott's weed and feed. I live near the beach so there is a thin small layer of soil and sand under that. Any suggestions?

That's bermudagrass. Mow your st.augustine higher and make sure it stays healthy, no drought stress and adequate fertility. That's all I know, this is dchall's area if expertise I am sure he will give you more specific advice.
