Questions about triple super phosphate

I have extremely low levels of phosphate in my soil. I am wondering if this may have been due to over use of the soil as it used to be a huge garden. Everything else shows fine and my pH level is 6.5 in most areas, but I cannot get grass to grow well. I also get dry pan and cracking badly.

I am wondering how much phosphate to add to the area and how long after applying to reseed my lawn. I think i am just going to use fescue to reseed and overseed. I have excellent nitrogen levels and potash levels, but need phosphate badly so I wonder how long Bonides phosphate takes to get into the soil. I applied some, worked it in with my garden weasel and watered, but I don't know how much to use.

Well the only way to be certain is with a soil test, in which they would recommend x lbs/Kft.

So since we do not know that apply at a rate of 1-lb/Kft2. So if using Triple Super Phosphate (0-45-0) apply the product at a rate of 2-lbs /Kft2.

Or if it is time for fertilizer, then buy a bag of with a ratio of 1-1-X.

the phosphate I applied was 0-45-0, I have communicated with K-State Ag research who said I can send a soil sample, but they said the results will probably be skewed by the phosphorus as I went ahead and applied it. As far as fertilizing, I have used Scotts turf starter and then also in the established grass the spray type, I can't recall the name, but it did not have much phosphorus, but a large amount of nitrogen.

Amazingly today alot of the buffalo popped up out of the ground so I will just wait to see how it does and see how the fescue turns out in the other areas.
