Turfgrasses can, and do, go to seed in spring. KBG seeding is pretty common. TTTF and PR do it too, but generally not as much. The higher you mow, the more seeding you will likely see. If you learn how to ID turfgrass, it wouldn't be too hard to determine which grass is seeding now, but it's most likely the KBG. If you are seeing patches of lighter green grass with a lot of low white seedheads, then that's annual bluegrass, a common weed.

Ty so much tiemco :) you're always a Big help! Yes I do believe its KBG it turns to seed every year for a few weeks and stops. I cut it tonite and took all the seed heads off looks reallyy thick nd green for now lol :) the poa is starting to die off now since we have had alot of sunny days here in Pittsburgh, I am gonna try nd water that tho I dont want a big dead spot. last yr it didnt die completely...Thanks again

Another check: Kentucky bluegrass is called bluegrass because the seed heads have a bluish cast when viewed from a low angle. I've never seen that, but that's what they say.
