But this: I've done a lot of sod, and I've done a lot of lawn chemicals, and I've done a lot of painting, and I've done a lot of other stuff. Here's the deal: these days, you can get a tad of chemical exposure, from places you might not expect. Here's the other part of the deal: you body is not ready (from inexperience) for many things that you might have gotten away with, thirty five years ago. It's just a fact of life.

You very likely have a mild case of chemical exposure of some kind .Rinse with water, wash with mild soap, rinse with water, and repeat. Twice.

It's likely ammonia, or likely a bug spray, or a bug liquid, or likely something else, that your body is not used to. But you can get the same reaction, from having new carpet installed in your home. Rinse it, rinse it, and rinse it. Very, very, mild application of dish soap. Which means not much soap, and a lot of water. and a thorough rinse.

If that doesn't work, you need to look at something else, and with medical attention.

But anhydrous ammonia would do it; turpentine would do it, new carpet (formaldehyde) would do it, nylon (not the new fabrics, but a fairly pure nylon) would do it, and you need to get it rinsed away, or figure out that it won't rinse away, and go solve the problem.
