| Does anyone have any information on Northbridge or Latitude 36 bermudagrass varieties which OSU released last year? What's their main advantages over Tif 419 (if there are any)? The only info I've found claims the new types offer a longer growing season yet they don't quantify the difference from any other bermuda variety. Sod Solutions has the distribution rights and there are 6 licensed growers in the US. SO, I assumed there would be at least one or two people on here with these new types. Can anyone provide additional info on Northbridge and/or Latitude 36?
I wouldn't mind taking up a section of my Tif to try a pallet of this product out. If there's no real advantage to these types; I don't want to waste my time. |

| Northbridge and Latitude 36 are part of the current NTEP testing. You can go to the pdf below and see how those two varieties compare with Tif419. From the data it looks like those two are a bit more tolerant of colder winter weather, and green up a bit faster than Tifway. http://www.ntep.org/data/bg07/bg07_11-4/bg07_11-4.pdf |
