| Hi all. I would greatly appreciate help identifying these weeds on my St. Augustine Floratam lawn.
What kind of clover is this with the purple coloring? What is this weed? And is this Yellow Sedge? And this?
I've used Scotts Bonus S Weed&Feed twice in the past 3 months, as well as an Image sedge control, but my weeds persist. Any weed kill tips are welcome too. So...very...desperate. Thanks. |

| I have that same crap on my live oak trees. It's grown up in my old lawn and ruined grass too. I don't know for sure but I think it's part of the tree. Landscaper for neighbor say says they help the root system get moisture. Sorry don't know your weed. But at least your not alone on the live oak. |

| 1. Black medic Spot spray with Weed-B-Gone if you don't want to pluck it out. 2. Horse herb Spot spray with Weed-B-Gone if you don't want to pluck it out. 3. Kyllinga Sedgehammer might work. 4. Dichondra Spot spray with Weed-B-Gone if you don't want to pluck it out. Bonus pictures: Oak limbs. Live Oaks grow more like a shrub than a tree. New limbs will sprout on any branch or trunk where there is sufficient sunlight. Numbers 1, 2, and 4 will choke out your St Augustine. Horse herb and black medic work quickly. Dichondra is much slower moving but will come back from seed for years. Get it as soon as you see it because it drops seeds before you know it. Don't use weed-n-feed products. It is much better to fertilize with a fertilizer and kill weeds with a weed killer. If something seems to good to be true, it probably is. Weed-n-feed is one of those deals. |

| Oops! I made a huge mistake. Weed-B-Gone and St Augustine do not get along. Normal WBG will also kill St Aug. You need the one that has Atrazine as the active ingredients. Here is the Spectracide version of it...
