| So this year I've noticed a bunch-type grass coming up in several areas of my lawn and I'm pretty sure it's perennial ryegrass. My lawn is about 3 years old and I've never noticed this grass in previous years. Pics are below.
Is there any way to control this grass (kill it)? I know there's a chance the heat will kill it but it will just come up again in the fall right? Will a pre-emergent applied in the summer work? Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

| What do you think it is? From what I've read they say the red/purple stem is indicative of PR. Any thoughts? Also the ligules are fairly pronounced (they wrap around the stalk). |
