Once rooted, sod will react no differently than an established turf. A lot of foot traffic during the heat of Summer is going to be stressful to any grass, but then again, what good is a lawn if you don't use it? I'd water well a couple of days prior to the set up, and water well after tear down. Follow established lawn maintenance techniques/schedules and the turf should recover from any damage by next Spring.
