| What is the best way to use weed b gone max.
I have about 25000 square feet of grass with mild weed issues. Is it best to just spray my grass with five bottles (5 thousand sq ft each) Or is it best to use it as needed and spray directly to weeds Will it burn out the grass at all? When is the best time to use |

| Don't know your region, but 3 years ago our 20,000 sf lawn of mostly KBG, in southern New England, was infested with ground ivy - or Creeping Charlie. After some research I found that WBG was the best remedy. I followed the label directions and applied with an Ortho Dial'N Spray applicator. If I recall correctly, the mix ratio is 2 oz. per gallon per 500 sf. I bought the gallon concentrate and broadcasted the application in divided quadrants of 5,000 sf. The best time to apply is when the weeds are flowering, or as was my situation, just about now. I must say, it did the trick and killed about 85-90% of all the weeds, even clover. Problem with ground ivy though, is it comes back. I've noticed it's spreading again but have been reluctant to reapply the chemicals, due to our large organic vegetable gardens, located in the middle of the rear lawn. I'm sure other, more knowledgeable posters, will provide better feedback, but in my experience it did work - by following label directions. |

| Spot spray individual weeds unless you have something like ground ivy. Also remember that WBG is not a soil drench. You only have to moisten the leaves of the weeds. If you have St Augustine grass, it probably will kill it. Next time you post would you please indicate where you live and what kind of grass you have? |

| I live in southeastern Pennsylvania. My lawn is tall fescue and i have about 25000 square feet of grass. I bought several bottles of the hose end spray that coverd 5000 square feet. Do you use this as a pre emergent or wait for the weeds to show. Right now the weeds are not a big problem. I have some clover but i know crabgrass will be a big problem come july/ august |

| It's a post emergent. |

| The best time to treat weeds in Bucks County, PA is in September or early October. For crabgrass, it is best to apply the pre/post emergent "Dithiopyr" (brand name Dimension) in April. |
