Don't stress. My KBG/PRG patch, which I put in last year up front was doing the very same just up until my last mowing. Seed heads seemed to have stopped and the grass is turning deeper shade. It's common for it to be lighter during the seeding phase and turn deeper green once done. Hope that makes you feel a little more at ease.

Thanks alot...it does! Were you able to just pull a stem off cleanly without disturbing the grass surrounding it? We did that and thought it was odd that they just pulled out so easily...they did have a fragile little root system attached so the temptation to yank all the stems passed quickly but it was tempting nonetheless. Cutting tomorrow, so I can only hope that will be end of it. The lawn is really thick and dense, so I don't know where those stems will find room to grow...as for the seedy stuff...off with their heads!
