Sod turning bown after turf builder

Hi everyone.. we moved into a new home and we had brand new dark green sod laid.. about 2 weeks ago i applied scotts turf builder and only some spots have turned back dark green.. most of the lawn is ok but mainly dry.. it used to be thick and dark so i dont know what to do next.. i am watering the lawn.. if i get close to it i can still see dry old grass.. do i aerate the lawn? do i need to apply more fertilizer? do i need to power rake it... its not getting this and dark... im lost.. lol

Where do you live? (Ontario CA or Ontario, CA?)
What kind of grass do you have?
What is your watering regimen (frequency and duration)?
Is there much shade on the lawn?
Did you water the fertilizer in thoroughly?

Hey there..

so its been raining every but its been dry that last week.. i have been watering 20min ish per day..
i think its bluegrass
i live in ontario Canada.
there is only shade when the sun sets.. so half the day
i used scotts turf builder but did not water after as it rained the next day..

so what do i do next?
and thanks for your help
