Need to overseed but I applied crabgrass preventer

Due to winter injury/kill of my zoysia front lawn I'm going to need to take some steps to help get it back. I cannot afford to re-sod 6,000 sq. ft. so I'm left with over-seeding as my only option. Apparently zoysia seed has come a long way since I plugged this lawn 12 years ago.

The question I have is will dethatching and aeration break the barrier of the pre-emergent I applied in mid-February? I'm hoping it will so I can over-seed with zoysia now that the temps are getting warmer with summer coming.

Yes it will help break the barrier and may improve the chance for new grass while vastly increasing the opportunity for weeds.
Wait until fall.

Thanks for the reply... I can't wait until fall since zoysia is a warm season grass. In order to give it the best chance for germination and establishment, I've been told I need to over-seed as soon as possible.

Yes, I chose poorly. I used "fall" to indicate a period of time to pass. Try to wait 90 days for the pre-emergent to dissipate. I realize that may not be ideal for zoysia, but it's the best I got for advice.
