How soon can i plant Grass after killing it with Spectracide?

Last week I sprayed 100+ weeds w/ Spectracide weed and grass killer - thought it was just WEED killer. Now I have 100 big brown spots all over my front lawn. What's the easiest way to fix this disaster?

I've been digging up the dead grass, filling in with potting soil, and now want to put down seeds - but wanna make sure I don't kill the NEW seeds. And do I need to remove the dead grass first?? Or can I throw seed on top the dead grass?

PLEASE HELP! Thanks :) ~ Kelly

You can seed immediately. You do need to get the dead stuff up though so the new seed comes in contact with the soil.

If you have a bunch of little spots, you might spring for one of the all-in-one patch products. It is hard to keep a bunch of little areas watered well enough to get grass started.
