I am new to this kind of stuff so please be gentle :)

My first question is what is the best way to dry out a pile of really wet soil.

I have a few low spots on my lawn that collect a lot of water when it rains. To fix it I have run an aerator over the entire lawn to aid with the drainage but I some of the spots are so low that I think I will need to fill them in with some dirt.

My plan is to dig up some dirt from other parts of my property (I live on a 10 acre lot) and use it to fill in the low spots. The area I plan to collect the dirt from is very soggy 95% of the time.

So my question is how to best go about drying out the muddy pile of soil I am about to create. Should I spread it out on a tarp? Is there a better way?
