Watering:
No, you need to water lightly at least twice a day to prevent the sode from drying out until the roots set. Then back off to once a day for a week, then every other day for a week, and keep working backwards until you get to deep and infrequent.

Don't worry about fertlizer right now, hold off a month then apply a light amound. Zoysia only needs 2 or 3 applications per year.

Get it rolled now, you are too late. That should have been done as soon as it was laid.

I know I'm way past late in rolling it,but my work schedule and the weather just didn't wan't to cooperate. Now we didn't get anywhere near as much rain as you did this weekend, but I had to lay the last part of this in the dark in a downpour Sunday night. Then Monday had to pull 8hrs mandatory OT, so this morning was my first opp to git 'r done. The rain has kept it pretty moist along with what I've been doing, so hopefully it'll be OK.

And auteck, if that is Zoysia and my yard turns out anywhere close to yours, I'll be the talk of my neighborhood! There's only one guy who's yard is close to that, but he doesn't do organics, do you? How old is it? Did you DIY? Either way it's an awesome yard. Congrats!

That's my neighbor's house just across. He sodded the yard in late July last summer. The lawn suffered alot of winter damage even though it was a mild winter.

He's is the talk of the neighborwood during the summer months, I'm the talk of the neighborwood for the rest of the year...:-)

If you do misbehave as much as I do you can be the talk of the hood all year long.

Yeah, I hear ya'. That's why I had to move to this new neighborhood in the first place. :-D
