Temperature's effect on weed killer

Hello, as expected, my new fescue/KBG lawn that I planted this spring has a decent number of weeds in it. I've now mowed it 4 times and was planning on applying Bayer All-in-One Weed and Crabgrass killer today or tomorrow. We're going to have 2 more days with temps in the mid 70's to low 80's here, but by Thursday it will be back above 85. Is that enough time to not be concerned about damage to my new turf from the weed killer or should I wait for a solid week or so of lower temps? My only other concern is that I will have to reseed this fall and the label says I should wait 4 weeks before reseeding, so I'd have to apply the weed killer by early August at the latest to seed around Labor Day.

RE: Temperature's effect on weed killer

Hmmm... I am in a similar situation and looking for a product to put on my lawn in the form of a liquid. I am unsure about the temperature requirements but I assume it would be best to either apply in the early morning or late evening to not stress the grass. If you are going to apply it I would apply it as soon as possible if you are planning on seeding this coming fall.

Could someone clarify the best time to apply a herbicide to a lawn and the proper temperature/time frame if planning to seed in the fall?

I would also be interested in hearing some recommended brands as well :)

Thanks all!

RE: Temperature's effect on weed killer

WeedBgone is probably the best multi-purpose weed killer. I don't apply it if temperatures are in excess of 85 degrees for 48 hrs. and it doesn't work at all well on weeds that are not growing. Seeding shouldn't be done within 4 weeks of it's application. See the directions on the product.
