KBG growing seeds (seeding early)

I don't know what the process is called but I just mowed my lawn last weekend and noticed the KBG is already growing seeds. Is this early? Is this bad? I have it on a watering schedule every three days and use Revive once per month. The grass is looking great so don't know if the seeding thing is helpful or harmful.
Thanks!

Are you sure that the seed heads are coming from the KBG and not from something else? Could you post a picture of what you are describing?

I'll take a picture tonight but I'm sure they are seed heads (at least I think I'm sure....).

I'm sure you are correct that they are seedheads. What I was implying is if these seedheads are from annual bluegrass (Poa annua) instead of KBG.

Oh, I thought Poa annua was a weed or something. I didn't intially plant the grass and was under the assumption it was KBG, didn't know there was another type of bluegrass. So this is normal?

Yes, if you have a desirable lawn of KBG, and you also have Poa annua that is undesirable in your KBG lawn, then Poa annua is a weed. The reason I say it like that is because in some parts of the country (pacific northwest, northern california coast), Poa annua is a desirable turf.

I will need to see a picture of the seedheads to know if it is Poa annua or not. And yes, there are other types of bluegrass.
